Why Do Americans Love Obama?

Well Canadians for Obama went around asking local Americans to hear their reasons. See below…

Two Issaquah girls

These young Obama supporters from Issaquah Washington tell us why Obama is the change that they need in America, he’s like the modern Bobby Kennedy.

Interesting Fact: According to Forbes.com ranked Issaquah the 2nd fastest-growing suburb in WA state, and the 89th in the US.

Tiny miny Parker

Parker, the youngest supporter we interviewed, succinctly indicates why he’s an Obama supporter!

Interesting Fact: Parker’s mother works for the Gates Foundation helping libraries in rural America become more digitally connected and increase funding for them.

Pat Manning

Pat from Olympia, Washington, an Obama-converted Edwards supporter who recommends 13 Coins restaurant to us Canadians and coined it: "traditional heart-cloggin American cuisine". We decided not to go there as we didn’t want to keel over and have heart attacks!

Interesting Fact: As Pat mentions Olympia is the capital of Washington State.

Joshua and Akeela

Joshua, a research scientist in Seattle, and Akeela, on a student visa from India, both in strong support for Obama. Joshua mentioned that Obama’s greatest characteristic is his leadership "makes an Average man do like everything" . Akeela mentions he has strong grass roots.

Interesting Fact: Akeela is doing her PhD in epidemiology and is in love with Obama. She shook Obama’s had twice and he winked at her!

Converted John Edwards supporter

Talking to this Edwards supporter really drove home the message why Obama is the person who can revolutionize America. Have a listen and let me know what you think!

Jim Grason

Jim was a great man who had so much energy. He supported Obama for his sound policies.

Interesting Fact: Jim was also a supporter of local radio (NPR — National Public Radio) and had been to Vancouver and Toronto (he loved to travel with his wife to Canada).

Have a listen and let me know what you think! Reporting live Canadians for Obama
