Obama’s Affordable Health Care for America Act passed 220 to 215 last night in House or Representatives!! Note the act is fully endorsed by the American Medical Association,  American Nurses Association,  National Farmers Union, and the 40 million strong 50+ advocacy group AARP.

This is great news for the 14,000 Americans who continue to lose their health insurance + those 18,000 who potentially die annually as they don’t have it. 

Canadians for Obama THANKS ALL THOSE HELPED OUT IN CALLING AMERICANS TO URGE THEIR REPS TO VOTE IN FAVOR OF THE ACT!

However, work is not done yet. 

We are just two steps away from achieving health insurance reform in America. SENATE still needs to pass the act. The final Senate bill hasn’t even been released yet, but the insurance companies are already pressing hard for a filibuster to bury it. 

We MUST publicly show that we are in support of the reforms and are counting on representatives to deliver.

One of the best ways to help is to WRITE A LETTER to the editor of a local newspaper stating the importance of this legislation.
